Jesse James Wax Museum
I-44 Exit 230, Stanton, MO, 63079
Jesse James Wax Museum is at I-44 exit 230. It explores the theory that Jesse James was not killed in 1882 but lived until the age of 103 under an assumed identity. Wax figures of James, his brother Frank, the James gang's cook and J. Frank Dalton, the man who claimed to be Jesse James, help tell the story. Antiques from the late 1800s, many of James' personal belongings and affidavits that testify to the story's authenticity are displayed.
