B&O Railroad Ellicott City Station Museum, 3711 Maryland Ave. at Main St., is the restored first terminus of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and was the destination of America's first steam engine, the “Tom Thumb,” in August 1830. Display areas include the freight agent’s quarters, a waiting room, a ticket office and a freight house, which offers a model railroad display of the first 13 miles of the line and a restored 1927 caboose. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
