Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is .5 mi. w. of US 69 at jct. 179th St. and Antioch Rd. Multiple gardens and ecosystems cover 300 acres. The Erikson Water Garden features bird and butterfly plants and ornamental grasses. Marder Woodland Garden has regional flora, wood and stone arbors, and a koi pond. The willow trees and annuals in the Monet Garden are similar to their namesake gardens in France. A children's garden as well as an environmental education and visitor center are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
