Battery Automotive Technician/Driver Wayne, NJ

AAA North Jersey has F/T and P/T positions available in our Roadside Assistance Battery department. Job requires drivers to test/replace batteries on scene, for our members within Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson Counties.

Job Description:

Provide mechanical assistance to our members on the road.
• Test batteries as well as sell and install on scene.
• Perform battery warranty services within company guidelines.
• Provide lite duty such as:  tire changes, and jumpstarts.

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of two years of automotive shop experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to satisfactory pass a background check including criminal and motor vehicle.
• Knowledge and understanding of automotive electrical systems, primarily battery, and starting & charging systems.
• Must possess good customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of related tools used. (Testers & test lights jump packs)

Call Counselor AAA North Jersey-Wayne NJ

Part Time Call Counselor positions available in our Wayne location.

Job Description:

AAA North Jersey has part time call counselor positions open in our Wayne location for our second shift. Job requires a professional with clear speaking voice, strong listening skills and detail oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answer call from member
• New calls, cancelled calls, ETA calls and minor complaint calls
• Work on computer with D2000 program
• Obtain and verify member information and road service request
• Obtain information and records information in D2000

Requirements:

• Professional and Clear speaking voice
• Strong Listening Skills and Good Common Sense
• Friendly, compassionate, welcoming personality
• Accurate data entry/keyboarding skills
• Professional attitude
• Attendance must be a priority
• Willing to work extra hours and some holidays

Dispatcher AAA North Jersey-Wayne NJ

Full Time Dispatcher positions available in our Wayne location.

Job Description:

AAA North Jersey provides towing, recovery and battery service to members needing emergency roadside assistance. We provide our services in Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties of Northern New Jersey.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive information and dispatches roadside assistance calls to drivers using a telephone and computer data
• Prioritize calls based on safety, weather, or traffic
• Receive emergency road calls from members and enter calls in the system to initiate roadside assistance as needed
• Monitor computer screen to ensure calls are completed with the estimated time of arrival

Requirements:

• H.S Diploma or equivalent
• Strong PC Skills including data entry
• Previous dispatching experience is helpful
• Professional phone manner and customer service skills
• Ability to solve problems, and identify alternative solutions
• Flexible with work shifts that include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends
