Campground Overview
Introduction
Lower Goodell Group Campground is a convenient campground on the banks of Goodell Creek. Each group site has 5 tent pads, a pavilion with picnic tables, and a fire grate. Maximum capacity is 50 people and 20 vehicles per site. Lower Goodell sites can accommodate RV's. Vault toilets and garbage service is provided. There are no hook-ups or potable water.

Weather
The best weather for visiting the North Cascades generally occurs between mid-June and late-September. Summer daytime temperatures average in the 70's F. Snow is off most trails by mid-July. Autumn and Spring are popular for color and wildlife. Storms are common: always be prepared for a few days of rain and wind. The east side of the Cascade Mountains (Lake Chelan National Recreation Area) is drier and warmer in the summer than the west side. Summer temperatures at Stehekin reach the 90's F.

Located north of SR 20 at mile post 119. 13 miles (21 km) east of Marblemount, 74 miles (119 km) west of Winthrop.

Lower Goodell Group Campground Campsite Reservation Fee
Reservations can be made through recreation.gov or call (877) 444-6777. Maximum of 50 people per site. Garbage/recycling service, and vault toilets provided. No showers or hook-ups. Each site has a covered pavilion with picnic tables and barbecue grill. Gathering firewood is prohibited. Firewood is available outside the park. Closed in winter.

Vehicles and tents must not be placed on or impact vegetation. Checkout time is noon on day of departure. Camping is limited to no more than 14 days from July 1 to September 1 and no more than 30 days in a calendar year. Do not feed or tease wildlife - keep your food and other appealing items in your vehicle at all times except when eating/using them. Pets must be on a leash or confined at all times. Fires only permitted in designated fire grates and must be attended at all times. Fire wood collecting is prohibited; please purchase firewood from a local vendor. First-come, first-serve groups must contact a ranger to register for a group site.Accessibility
