Pattaya

( Worth Seeing )

Visitors usually develop very definite opinions about this place. Long billed as Thailand's top resort, the beaches are poor compared with Phuket, Ko Samui and Ko Samet. On the other hand, the sheer number of hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues is staggering. Long infamous for its nightlife, the southern part of town is packed with bars and bar girls - there is a big homosexual scene, too. Northern Pattaya, however, is much more of a family destination, as is Jomtien Beach, stretching to the south of the city.
