Wang Suan Phakkard

( Highly Recommended )

The 'Lettuce Farm Palace', as this charming building is known in Thai, was the residence of Princess Chumbot of Nakhon Sawan in the 1950s. An important scion of the ruling Thai royal family, Princess Chumbot was an eminent art collector and patron of Thai culture. Like Jim Thompson's House, the complex contains magnificent artistic treasures, including a fine lacquered pavilion dating from the late Ayuthaya period. Its beautifully landscaped gardens are a tranquil oasis in downtown Bangkok.
