Seat belts must be worn in front seats at all times.

Random breath-testing. Never drive under the influence of alcohol.

Petrol comes in unleaded 95 octane and unleaded 91 octane. Diesel is also available. All are sold by the litre. Service stations abound in all the larger towns and cities but be careful to fill up for longer, cross-country journeys.

There are plenty of motor repair garages throughout the country. Most service stations will also be able to offer some help in the event of a breakdown. International car rental companies include a free breakdown service in their rental packages. Most local rental companies also provide a breakdown service but charge extra.
