There are specific allowances for the import of alcohol, cigarettes and luxury goods for those over 18 years of age:
Alcohol:
spirits: 1 litre
wine: 1 litre
Tobacco:
Cigarettes: 200 grams
Cigars: 250 grams
Tobacco: 250 grams
A limit of 50,000 baht applies on the import or export of Thai currency.
Inbound visitors are issued with two sets of papers to fill in: a customs declaration form, which must be handed over to the customs official on arrival, and a visa information form.
