Den Fynske Landsby
The open-air museum of Den Fynske Landsby (The Funen Village) gives colorful insight into rural life on the island of Funen
during the 18th and 19th centuries. More than 20 thatched, timber-framed buildings are arranged like a farming village complete
with duck pond, smithy, water mill and windmill. Farming continues during the summer months, and harvesting, beer brewing
and craftwork are conducted as part of village life. There are particularly imaginative tableaux detailing the lives of a
poor and a well-off 19th-century villager.
