Major museums are open all day, but close on Monday or Tuesday. Smaller museums close for lunch. Shops vary, with most open
Monday to Saturday. Some close Saturday afternoon, and most close all day Sunday. Department stores and malls are open 10-9.
Many restaurants and shops close during August. During the San Isidro festival in May, banks close at noon. In July and August
many offices work straight through from 8 to 3, then close. Apart from opening for mass, well-known churches have set opening
hours.
