Dejima ( Highly Recommended ) From the mid-17th century until 1855, Dejima was the site of the Dutch enclave, on a man-made island in Nagasaki harbour. Most traces of the settlement have gone, but the museum here tells its story, of how the Dutch traded Japanese goods for Western knowhow.
