Things To Know Crossing the Divide Local Flavors Budapest at Night Shopping The Danube Esplanade	The Danube Esplanade Running alongside the river on the Pest bank, between Chain Bridge (Széchenyi lánchíd) and Elizabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd), is the tree-lined Danube Esplanade (Duna korzó). In the 19th century, this was the most fashionable place to be seen. Café tables were set out in the evening, and gypsy bands played by lamplight under the stars. The elaborate Vigadó is a legacy of that era, and still a venue for classical music concerts.
