Crossing the Divide
Local Flavors Budapest at Night Shopping The Danube Esplanade |
Shopping Pedestrian-only Váci utca, on the Pest side of the river, is the perfect place to start shopping trips, and to look for antiques and art bargains. Other main boulevards in central Pest also are lined with stores. In Buda, there's a good browsing area around Móricz Zsigmond körtér. A well-known flea market (Ecseri) sets up at Nagykrősi út from Monday to Saturday. It's also a pleasure to wander among the heaped food stalls of the renovated Vásárcsarnok (Central Market Hall) on Fövám Körút. The market is open all day Monday to Friday and on Saturday until 2 p.m. |
