Yet another major site in the Buda Castle Palace, this library stocks over 2 million books, and even more manuscripts, musical scores and newspapers. Among these are the few remaining codices (maunscript volumes) from King Matthias's celebrated library. The codices are called Corvinas, and refer to the raven - the King's heraldic bird. The Main Reading Room, made up of several smaller rooms, is spacious but not especially elegant. Delightfully small carriages deliver and retrieve the books.
