Saturday afternoon is early closing and few shops remain open after 1pm. Thursday is late-night shopping (until 7 or 8). Supermarkets
and other food shops have longer hours and are open Sunday mornings. In large centres some shops open 24 hours. In smaller
places shops often close for lunch. Pharmacies follow shop hours but there is always one open late in each area. Banks have
early closing (1pm) on Fridays. The majority of museums are closed Monday; in winter they usually close earlier. Large
churches are open throughout the day, in small towns and villages they may only open early morning and/or evening (6-9pm).
