They feature in many festes, especially La Mercè, with its eccentric Ball de Gegants, a dance of costumed 5m-high giants and grinning papier-mâché 'big heads' which is performed from Drassanes to Ciutadella, and the Corre Foc (Fire-Running), when devils and dragons scatter firecrackers in the Ciutat Vella.
